What you should know about plastic cards

We generally recommend two types of card printing
Up to 500 cards
  • Thermoprinting with overlay
More than 500 cards
  • high quality card with printed Inlay (laminated)
Thermosublimation printing with overlay:
- 4 color printing (Euroscale).
- Bleeding edge printing possible; 300 dpi resolution.
- Printing is protected by clear overlay foil.

Offset printing with surface protection:
- 4 color offset printing (Euroscale)
- Print is protected by clear lacquer coating against harsh environments

EDITION 1

Laminated offset printing:
- Multi-color printing, offset and/or silkscreen printing
- Color definitions in Euroscale, HKS or Pantone
- Excellent environmental protection due to clear foil laminated over the print.

Additional features for your card layout:
- LoCo magnetic stripe (300 Oerstedt)
- HiCo magnetic stripe (4.000 Oerstedt)
- signature field
- hologram
- UV-sensitive colors for security
- implanting of chip module

What we need:
- Layouts as file on disc or CD or as email.
- Cutting marks at 54 x 85.6 mm, as well as positioning marks on each film.
- 2 - 3 mm overfill on bleeding edge printing.
- Color print of your card (e.g. Chromalin).

What else we can do:
- printing of names or serial numbers via thermoprint or laser
- embossing
- barcode printing
- coding of the magnetic stripe
- personalisation of chip modules
