CHIP-X Smart card reader for windows

Microsoft supports a new Windows 98 and Windows NT programming interface for processing smart cards. (see http://www.microsoft/smartcard). This interface is called PC/SC and is based on ISO 7816. ZeitControl supports this standard and is one of the first suppliers of this new generation of smart card readers. The CHIP-X is available as a 3,4'' insert or as an external device. It is connected to the computer via the serial interface or as disk drive B:. All windows drivers as well as software for GSM-cards, the (German) health insurance card and telephone cards are included inthe purchase price or can be downloaded from the internet via http://www.chipkarten.com.
