The MiniMagic Industrial RS-485 is an OEM transponder reader unit for using 125 kHz transponder tags (EM4102, HITAG-S, HITAG-1, HITAG-2). The enclosure meets protection class IP65.

It's designed for integration into customer specific systems. 31 MiniMagic Industrial RS-485 units can be connected to one single RS-485 bus. Communication between unit and host is established by using a simple ASCII protocol. Optionally available is a potential-free relay contact which can be controlled by means of a command via the RS-485 bus.

Once the EM4102 transponder is within the operating range of the MiniMagic Industrial RS-232 the chip ID will be readout and transmitted. Depending on the selected operating mode this serial number is transmitted instantly or on request.
